you mentioned above that when you ask them to recorded your child name in the ancestral book. They said that girls do not have to be recorded,only your sons.

i have few Questions,that why girls does not have place in their family tree?.in the case, how come the daughters-in-law are a separate matter?

From the birth of the girl to till going to get married, a girl knew to there parents name. This tradition till going on in the half part of world. today also still girls carries there father's family names after their marriage. Then, why not the girl would have place in the ancestral book?

Daughters marry into another man's household. This is patrileneal Confucian society. Daughters-in-law become the mothers of sons.
